Residents enjoy the Tennis, Swim and Fitness Center, which includes nine competition Har-Tru courts, three competition hard surface courts and four indoor courts. A new lazy river and Waterslide complex was added in 2007 in addition to the community's two existing pools, playground and picnic area. Summer camps and instruction in tennis, golf and swimming are available to residents as well. The Town of Davidson also boasts a summer program at its Lake Campus for children of all ages.
Perhaps a leisurely walk is more your style. Walking trails wind through the wooded landscape and wide sidewalks lead you through the tree-lined neighborhood. River Run is also "connected " to Davidson by a 2 1/2 mile walking/bicycle path leading from a secondary
entrance in River Run straight to the center of Davidson.
